DONATION: Special Fund for Jacqueline's Orphan Nieces and Nephews in Uganda

20.00

Jacqueline, single mother and Congolese refugee, recently taught a private cooking class. Bringing back her story that we shared last year, we felt compelled to repost this donation link for her orphaned nieces and nephews currently in Uganda, hoping to be relocated to Cleveland. 100% of your donation goes to Jacqui and her family.

Jacqueline has 5 nieces and nephews who were orphaned after they lost both of their parents and youngest sibling through the war. Jacqueline is their closest surviving relative. The children, ranging in age from 11 to 20 years old, fled the Eastern Congo to arrive in Uganda. The Congolese community there have done what they can to help them and put them back in contact with Jacqueline. One of the boys is currently missing and the Ugandan police are trying to find him. The oldest is under doctor's care and the other 3 are trying to attend school. Uganda is very expensive. School cost $185 per year, per child...plus an additional $100 per month per child! They are living in 2 rooms, with no kitchen, and pay $100 monthly rent. Jacqueline has severe medical conditions and is under doctor's care and has her daughter to support as well. If you would like to help Jacqueline support her nieces and nephews, you can do so here or through our donations page. Thank you so much for your support!
